Carol received her M.Ed. in Counseling from NDSU and her M.S. in Addiction Studies from Grand Canyon University. Carol is originally from a small town in Northwestern MN in a family of educators, and first started working as a teacher. From there she moved into school counseling. She has been a counselor for 18 years in the areas of school, clinical, vocational and addiction counseling. She has spent her career working with adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families. Carol has extensive experience working with a variety of mental health issues that range from everyday stressors to trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, relationships and issues within the work place.
Carol is a below the knee amputee as a result of a car accident and so has personal experience when dealing with issues of physical trauma. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and a peer counselor for the American Coalition of Amputees.
